CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHESIST

Shannan Garvey earned his Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He worked as a SICU nurse at UAB for one year before completing his CRNA training at Middle Tennesse School of Anesthesia.  Shannan cofounded Alabama Anesthesiology and Pain Consultants with Dr. Bennett in 2011.  He is also the current Director of Anesthesia Services at Wedowee Hospital, a position he has held since 2005. Shannan served as Chief CRNA at St. Vincents St. Clair from 2000 to 2011, and also Chief CRNA at Tanner Medical Center in Bremon, GA from 2005 to 2011. Shannan has been practicing anesthesiology for over 20 years and is currently licensed in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.  He is a member of Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthesists as well as the American Association of Nurse Anesthesists.
