Dr. Matthew Bennett is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He attended medical school at East Carolina University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Next, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at UAB as well as a residency in Anesthesiology. He is a board certified Anesthesiologist and was the ER Director at St. Vincent’s St. Clair from 2005 to 2008 and Chief of Staff at St. Vincent’s St. Clair from 2002 to 2006. He was voted Americas Top Anesthesiologists / Pain Management Doctors. He has been practicing as an Anesthesiologist for over 19 years. Additionally, he became the Chief of Anesthesiology, Director of Pain Management at St. Vincents’ St. Clair from 1998 till 2010 and 2007 until present at Wedowee Hospital. In 2000 Dr. Bennett opened Alabama Anesthesiology and Pain Consults and began full time Pain Management in 2011.
